No more nails

That would be fingernails! We recieved an email from our faciliator on Monday (only 14 days before our submission date!!!!) stating that somehow in all our reviewing of our paperwork, we all had overlooked a missing digit in my passport number on 4 of our documents! (the real danger of copy/paste). A notary in Doneska found the error after all our documents had been translated - such a blessing that he did instead of the SDA!!

So a mad dash got our 4 documents redone and apostilled and ready for travel within a few hours. The scary part was that FEDEX (the only really reliable delivery method) would not guarantee to deliver until 5 days AFTER our submission date. Not an option. So we went with the sketchy option of UPS. They have quoted a May 12th delivery date. The scary part is that it is often difficult for our facilitator to "locate" the package when UPS is the delivery company.

The reality is that if our documents are not in the Ukraine, translated, notarized & presented to the SDA on 5/19/08 than we essentially have to start over.

So we wait. And pray. And put our childrens future in the hands of a few delivery folks with a less than stellar reputation. There goes my last fingernail!!!!

How stressful! This might be too late, but I have heard DHL has decent service in Ukraine.

I use DHL all the time and they usually deliver within three days all the time. Once they took five because of a holdup but that is once out of five times using them.
