Wow! It really has not sunk in. I have to keep telling myself that this is really happening - we are actually leaving our home to go across the world and coming home with little ones. It has been a little over 9 months since we started this journey of paperwork and research -- yet it seems like just yesterday!
As far as the preparation phase, we have been very blessed with a thorough and honest facilitator and have had no real setbacks. We hope and pray that this trend continues :-) We are pretty realistic and realize that the real "fun" starts when we land in Ukraine. But with all the helpful hints and stories from the other adoptive families, we feel much more prepared Plus when you know that expecting the unexpected should be the norm -- it makes it a lot easier to be at peace!

Those two weeks will soar by. I can't believe we leave tomorrow morning for Dallas and then on Friday on to Kiev. My heart is racing just waiting for it to happen. Hope to see you there.
