The excitement of being half way across the world and the anticipation of meeting our son have subsided. We are now just anxiously awaiting all being together as a family under one roof (preferrably our own roof!!!) But we must be patient we have the following ahead of us:
- Court (Wed Sept 3rd)
- A mandatory 10-day wait period which for us because the last day falls on a weekend, we have a 13-day wait period (Thurs Sept 4th - Mon Sept 13th)
- Obtain "G"s Visa, Passport and US Embassy health exam (guessing Tues Sept 16th - Fri Sept 19th)
- Fly home :-) (guessing Mon Sept 22nd -- happy birthday to me --- my only birthday wish to have both my children safe and healthy together at home :-)
There is a chance that "D" can come home early after court but we are still waiting for confirmation on this. There is no chance that they can move up our court date to shorten our wait period because the judge is on vacation..... and so we wait.
Bye!!!

I am not sure what region you are in, but here in Kharkov, it looks like it is going to take at least a week to receive the child's new tax ID number. You need that to even be able to apply for a passport, which will take another 4-5 business days after getting the ID! I've heard that all regions are taking a lot longer with this new process, but I pray that your region isn't doing that!! I'm not trying to bring you down, I just thought I would let you know what we're going through right now.
Best wishes!
